Romancing the Novel to host Bridget Jones fan event for latest film’s in-home release

Sydney bookshop Romancing the Novel is celebrating the in-home release of Universal Pictures’ Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy with a fan event.

Taking over Sydney’s only romance bookshop Romancing the Novel for one night only, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment invites fans to enjoy a FREE ‘Mad About Bridget Jones’ event in celebration of the in-home release of the all-new chapter in the beloved film series, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, available to buy or rent at home on 1 April.

Hosted by Two Broke Chick’s Alex Hourigan, the event will take a deep dive into Bridget’s unforgettable journey, celebrating her most iconic moments in the adored rom-com franchise. Fans are invited to explore how her memorable phrases like ‘singletons’ and ’emotional f**kwittery’ have become part of our everyday language. Attendees will have the chance to revisit beloved scenes from the films and enjoy exclusive sneak peeks at the never-before-seen bonus features. Plus, get ready for a fun trivia game with exciting prizes up for grabs.

In addition to the exclusive event, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is celebrating Aussie Bridgets with a special treat! On Wednesday, 2 April, anyone named Bridget who visits Romancing the Novel in Paddington, Sydney, will receive an exclusive Bridget Jones merchandise pack*—a little keepsake to remind you that “you are perfect, just as you are.”
