Rowan Avis joins DDB from Neo@Ogilvy as digital planning director

Rowan_AvisRowan Avis has joined DDB Sydney as digital planning director.

The role is a newly created one and will be part of the 17-strong strategic planning team at the creative agency.

Avis will be on the agency’s Telstra account as well as other key clients.

Avis was previously regional digital director at Neo@Ogilvy in Singapore where she was responsible for IBM in Asia and emerging markets. Before that, Avis led the digital media offering at Ikon Communications in Australia, and was a managing partner at Mindshare Worldwide, based in London, where her clients included HSBC.

DDB is currently pitching for the Westpac creative account.

Avis said in a press release: “I am delighted to be joining DDB Group Sydney as they are global leaders in strategy and have a fully integrated digital service offering situated within the heart of the organization. This team is made up of specialist digital experts ranging I skills from technology platform development, UX, Social Intelligence, Community management, SEO and digital content management. I am looking forward to working alongside leading global strategic thinkers such as Managing Director of Strategy and Innovation, Leif Stromnes.”
