Royals appoint former CHE creative team

New royalsThe Royals have appointed former CHE creative team Mikey Tucker and Gareth Sweet to head up creative campaign direction under the agency’s co-founder and creative director Nick Cummins, with DT Digital’s Renae Englert also joining an an account director.

The duo most recently were at CHE, Tucker having been with the agency as senior art director for two-and-a-half years while Sweet’s stint as senior integrated copywriter was just over a year.

Royals director Andrew Siwka said: “We’re quickly building a fantastic creative brains trust; a club comprised of creatives, artists, coders, social minds, hackers and developers.

“We’re an eclectic bunch, but the cohesive ingredient is a passion for interestingness and hunger for knowledge. Watch this space.”

Tucker previously spent just over a year with the Helsinki Agency and a year with SapientNitro while Sweet 10 months with The Copy Bureau, eight months with Tequila/Whybin TBWA just over two years with Mark/M&C Saatchi.

The duo will be based across both Sydney and Melbourne offices.

Coinciding with the appointing is Renae Englert, formerly with DT Digital, joining the agency as account direction to oversea some of The Royals’ key accounts including NAB and Coles.

The Royals clients list includes Jetstar, Coles Liquour, World Vision, Campari Group, George Calombaris’ MADE Group, NAB and Tabcorp.
