Ruth Cuadrado joins visiondirect.com.au as chief marketing officer
Ruth Cuadrado has joined online glasses retailer visiondirect.com.au as its chief marketing officer.

Sydney, 17.1.18 – VisionDirect.com.au (Vision Direct), Australia’s leading designer glasses e-commerce company, has appointed its new chief marketing officer: Ruth Cuadrado. Ruth is responsible for overseeing the entire Marketing efforts of Vision Direct, across Australia and New Zealand and abroad.
No stranger to senior marketing responsibilities, prior to her role at Motion Global, which operates Vision Direct, Cuadrado had a successful marketing career within the Hilton Hotels Group. Starting her career as a General Manager Trainee for the group, Cuadrado quickly rose up the ranks to become the Marketing Director for the Latin America and the Caribbean sector.
In addition to her previous experience ‘on the tools’, Cuadrado brings with her a wide range of qualification to the role, including a Diploma in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science; a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism from University of Salvador; and a Master’s of Business Administration and Marketing from Fundação Getulio Vargas. As part of her role at Vision Direct, Cuadrado will be instrumental in managing the overall strategy and implementation of the marketing efforts, including its ten-year anniversary as an international
enterprise throughout 2018. The role will also involve providing creative direction for retained agencies across the global portfolio, including Hollinshead Comms 101 here in Australia.Ruth will also be reinforcing messaging and working to increase awareness of Vision Direct’s omni-channel offering and development of its proprietary brands such as: Arise, LMNT and OhMyWoodness.

Ruth is native of Buenos Aires, Argentina and has lived in Mexico, Brazil and the United States. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and is currently learning Mandarin whilst residing in Shanghai, China. Her hobbies include: reading; traveling; meditation; and especially the topic of mindfulness and wellness at work.
