S4 hires Google’s Tom Braybrook to head of growth in AUNZ

S4 Capital has hired Tom Braybrook as its VP and head of growth AUNZ for MediaMonks and MightyHive as it looks to consolidate growth in the region.

Braybrook joins from Google where he was previously the New Zealand head of agencies and partners.

Kenny Griffiths, Asia Pacific managing director of MightyHive said: “Tom’s extensive 15 years’ experience in digital marketing aligns perfectly to not only where we’re at as a business, but where we’re going. His experience from the agency world, Adobe and most recently Google is unique as it hones in on our holy trinity – data, digital media and content – approach and will be critical in evolving how we go to market across the two countries. Vinne [Schifferstein Vidal, managing director of MediaMonks ANZ] and myself are thrilled to have someone with his skill set to join our growing teams here in AUNZ.”

The hire follows a busy start to the year for S4, which has already announced mergers for both MediaMonks and MightyHive. Last year, Sir Martin Sorrell told Mumbrella of his plans to bring the “two pillars” of the business closer together under a “single branded approach”. The appointment of Braybrook to oversee growth of both companies indicates a continuation of that strategy.

Braybrook said: “In the midst of this evolution, S4 Capital represents an exciting new breed of marketing services partner who are not only enabling businesses to understand and adopt these technologies but are also supporting their transformation efforts in a much more agile and flexible way. I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the team as we continue to establish this service model of the future and embark on our next phase of growth in AUNZ.”

MediaMonks also made additional key appointments in February as a result of continued improvement of business conditions. They included Kean Edwards, Matt Grogan, Sophie McDermott and Sophia Feary.

MightyHive and MediaMonks have won work with Allianz, Mondelez, National Australia Bank, TAL, UNSW and Vodafone NZ in the past six months.
