Saatchi & Saatchi Australia appoints Georgia Jones as Melbourne GM

Georgia Jones has joined Saatchi & Saatchi Australia as general manager of the Melbourne office.

Jones has spent the past three years at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, where she was most recently head of business management.

Jones will be replacing Mark Cochrane in the role, after he recently departed to take up the role of Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand CEO.

Anthony Gregorio, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Australia, said: “Georgia completes our senior
executive team in Melbourne and is going to be a great leader alongside Alex Speakman our chief
creative officer, Simon Bagnasco our executive creative officer and Lucy Trengove our head of
production.

Jones said: “It’s so exciting to be joining what Ant and his leadership team are building at Saatchi & Saatchi; they have talent, tenacity, huge creative ambition and an incredible momentum that I can’t wait to build upon.”

During her time at Clemenger, Jones worked with clients including Belong, BMW and NAB, also previously working in brand side roles in London.

Gregorio continued: “Georgia has a brilliant reputation and made an immediate impact on us when we met her. It’s an impact she will make on our partners, people and product. She joins with the agency having amazing momentum on the creative awards front, so we are excited about the future.”

Gregorio was appointed CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Australia in 2018, previously he was Havas CEO. Gregorio took on the role from Mike Rebelo, who stood down to focus leading Publicis across Australia and New Zealand.

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne was contacted regarding Jones’ replacement, however had no response at the time of publishing.
