Saatchi & Saatchi delivers ‘standout’ skim board campaign for Nescafé Blend 43

A daring run at the waves with a skim board has reflected the ‘bold and smooth’ flavour of Nescafé Blend 43.

Saatchi & Saatchi creative director, Sam Chappell, said the brand needed a ‘standout campaign’.

“An iconic brand like Nescafé Blend 43 demands a standout campaign to match its popularity with the Australian public. It is a pleasure to bring our ‘bold and smooth’ platform to life and we’re glad we could be as audacious as our mate with his skim board,” he said.

The campaign comes as Nestlé Australia has altered the roast of the instant coffee blend, with the Arabic beans roasted light and Robusta roasted darker.

The launch film has set the tone for the campaign, which will continue playing with humorous and relatable situations that Australians will be familiar with.

Olga Starush, Nestlé head of marketing beverages, said: “This new campaign not only tells the story of the bold and smooth taste of Nescafé Blend 43 that Aussies love but does it in a way that celebrates our brand’s authentic, positive and fun personality. We really hope it makes people smile and inspires them to share a cup of Nescafé Blend 43 with their loved ones.”

The ad was shot by Paul Middleditch with production company Plaza Content.

The campaign will be running on social, out-of-home, and supported product sampling activity.
