Saatchi & Saatchi faces Emirates pitch
Saatchi & Saatchi Australia faces a fight to hold onto airline client Emirates after winning the account five years ago.
The Dubai-based airline has called a global pitch of its integrated communications strategy, reports Campaign Middle East.
Maurice Flanagan, the executive vice chairman of Emirates, told Campaign ME: “We are still in the very initial stages of evaluation. It is too early to go into details of whether we intend to replace our existing agency structures, or to speak of budgets. For our existing agency partners, it is business as usual although no doubt some of them will be roped in by their holding groups to contribute to the pitch.”
According to the magazine, holding groups Publicis, Omnicom, WPP and Interpublic have been invited to join in a pitch starting at the end of next month.
