Samsung pitches media and creative accounts

Samsung has put its combined media and creative accounts out to pitch, Mumbrella can reveal.

The creative account is currently held by Leo Burnett and Starcom holds the media account. Mumbrella understands that the two Publicis-owned agencies are defending the account.

Mumbrella also understands that M&C Saatchi and Bohemia are working together on the pitch, and that Clemenger Group is also pitching.

Earlier this year, CHE Proximity – a member of the Clemenger Group – won the digital account for Samsung.

A Samsung spokesperson told Mumbrella that the tender process was ongoing and that a shortlist for the pitch had not yet been confirmed.

“The tender process is ongoing and no decision has been made at this stage. We cannot comment further while the tender is in progress,” the spokesperson said.

Leo Burnett is behind Samsung’s latest campaign which took a humorous jab at the world of influencers. The #SponsoredPost campaign starred comedic trio Aunty Donna, and influencers Lily Brown, Kayne Lawton, Rahnee Bransby and Johnathon Sauer.

Also on Samsung’s agency roster is We Are Social, which was behind the global #TeamGalaxy campaign which featured actress Millie Bobby Brown, DJ Steve Aoki, gamer Ninja and Instagram personality and musician Miquela.

Mumbrella has contacted Leo Burnett, Starcom, M&C Saatchi, Bohemia and Clemenger Group for comment.
