Sandpiper announces new senior consultant
Daniel Dunkley is joining the APAC-headquartered indie research, comms and public affairs group, Sandpiper, as its new senior consultant.

The Sandpiper Group (“Sandpiper”), the largest independent communications, public affairs, and research group headquartered in Asia Pacific, has appointed Daniel Dunkley as a senior consultant in Sandpiper’s Financial Services team, based in New Zealand.
Daniel brings significant experience in financial communications and deep international media relations expertise. He has more than 15 years’ experience in content strategy and as a business journalist in international newsrooms including The Sunday Times and Dow Jones in London, covering private equity, mergers and acquisitions, insurance, and FMCG.
Sandpiper boasts one of the largest specialist financial practices covering Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Daniel’s appointment comes as the firm experiences growth in financial communications briefs including special situations, and crisis and issues management, and expands its portfolio of work with companies across the financial services sector, including asset and wealth managers, retail and wholesale banks, fintechs, insurers, and private equity.
Over the past 12 months, Sandpiper, has been awarded Asia Pacific Agency of the Year by PRovoke Media, PRWeek, and the Public Relations Communications Association (PRCA), and recognised for its specialist expertise in ESG and Sustainability, winning PRCA 2024 Asia Pacific Specialist Consultancy of the Year.
