Sarah Snook wins Best Actress Emmy
Sarah Snook has won the Primetime Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Shiv Roy in Succession, following her Golden Globes win last week.
Snook was previously nominated twice for the role in the Supporting Actress category but lost out both times; this year saw both her and Kieran Culkin get lead actor nods for the show’s final season.
Fellow Australian Elizabeth Debicki, who also won a Globe last week, was nominated for the outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Princess Diana in The Crown, but lost out to Jennifer Coolidge from The White Lotus.
Succession also took out the Best Drama series.
