Sarah Tukua named client services director at Channel T

Channel T has announced the hire of Sarah Tukua in the new role of client services director for its Melbourne office.

Tukua was last at Hardhat, spending a three month stint as client services director in 2019.  Prior to that she spent five months as general manager at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.

In her time in the industry, Tukua has worked on award-winning brand campaigns for iconic brands including Lee Jeans, Subaru of America and Dare Iced Coffee, and recently worked on accounts for Ford and Seek in her time at Clemenger.

In her stint at Hardhat, Tukua led the accounts for Tigerair, Lion Dairy & Drinks and Zip.

Prior to Clemenger BBDO, Tukua spent almost five years at AJF Partnership, starting out in 2014 as senior account director. Tukua later became a group account director before eventually leaving as director and group account director.

Tukua said she’s looking forward to a post-COVID decade full of change and innovation.

“After some time off, it’s so good to be back, and most importantly with a dynamic and cutting-edge team,” she said.

“I immediately connected with Paul, Matt and Pete’s sincerity and admired their regard for positive and productive client relationships.

“Once we get past Covid, this next decade will be filled with change and reinvention. Channel T and other independents will be driving the shape advertising agencies take in the future.”

Channel T managing director Paul Rhodes said Tukua will made an immediate impact at his agency.

“Sarah has a passion for growing brands by championing effective creative, and we are confident that she will make an instant impact with our clients and teams.”

Channel T was appointed by Australian Liquor Marketers as its strategic and creative agency last month, and has since rolled out campaigns for Cellarbrations and The Bottle-O.
