The announcement:

SBS Sales has appointed Jane Palfreyman and Chris Taylor to the positions of National Client Solutions & Trade Communications Manager and National Business Manager respectively.

SBS Director, Media Sales, Andrew Cook said: “I am very pleased to be able to announce both Chris and Jane’s appointments. They are both talented media executives who will complement the SBS media sales management team. Chris and Jane bring to SBS plenty of experience in their respective fields and I am looking forward to them contributing significantly to our business.”

“Chris and Jane join SBS at a good time, we are definitely gaining momentum. We have received increased government funding, ratings are doing well, our web offer continues to gain a bigger footprint and we are becoming market leaders in the on-demand space. A great example of this right now is the Tour De France where every element of the event is up year on year.”

Palfreyman joins SBS from DMG Radio Australia where she was most recently Head of DMG Create, leading the client solutions and strategy team on the development of cross platform integration ideas across DMG. Prior to that she was Sydney Integration & Marketing Director for DMG working on both Nova and Classic Rock (now Smoothfm) brands. Jane has also worked at GCap in the UK and the Austereo Network.

On her appointment, Palfreyman said: “I’m thrilled to be joining SBS, as it’s such a unique broadcast environment that has strong links to passionate communities. Leading the national client solutions offering will be an exciting new challenge, as we work on delivering campaigns that truly connect audiences across multiple platforms.”

Taylor has spent the past five years at Network TEN, as Head of Research and Revenue for two years and prior to that role, Commercial Air Time Manager for three years. Taylor has also worked with the Multi-Channel Network and the Seven Network.

On his appointment, Taylor said: “SBS has such strong brand values and unique assets; it is very well positioned in the current media landscape to provide powerful solutions to media agencies and advertisers. I’m very much looking forward to working with Andrew and his team to help achieve this, and more.”

Taylor joins in late July, while Palfreyman will join the team in mid-August.
