Schweppes asks Aussies: ‘Who would you mix for?’

Communications agency BD Network has launched a new campaign for drinks brand Schweppes asking Australians who in the world they would mix a drink for and why.   

The entries, submitted on the campaign website, will be made public with the aim for entrants to discuss their decision through social media.

Jonny Clow, MD at BD Network said: “Buying someone a drink is easy but mixing someone a drink takes love and craft. Based on this insight we developed an idea that we believe any Australian could answer. ‘Who would you mix for?’

The campaign will run on-pack between October and December. Consumers must purchase a Schweppes 1.25l bottle or 4 x 300ml mixer pack and enter their code online to participate.

A winner will be selected in January “with Schweppes committed to trying everything within its power to turn the winner’s dream into a reality” and have the entrant mix their drink for their dream person. The prize will include mixing a drink for their chosen person, return airfares for the winner and a friend, 5-star accommodation and spending money. If the winner’s dream cannot be realised they will choose one of four VIP music, fashion, racing or film experiences each valued at $100,000.
