What a difference a day makes…
From yesterday’s B&T Today, discussing the Vodafone pitch:
“Media buyer Mitchells is understood to be the frontrunner for the business”
From today’s B&T Today:
“Some media had incorrectly reported that Harold Mitchell was set to take the combined business”
Would media would that be then?
Then there’s the AdNews home page. On the right:
“Print edition highlights: Exclusive Mitchell close to snaring Vodafone Hutchison”
And on the left:
“BREAKING NEWS: Ikon scoops VHA account”
And yes, while we’re at it, from an opinion piece on Mumbrella last week:
“Although the agency still hasn’t officially been told, Ikon appears to have lost Vodafone to Mitchell Communication Group”
And from today: Massive coup for media agency Ikon as it retains Vodafone against the odds
We should all feel very proud.
Bloody online journalists, can’t be trusted! If you’d waited a week before going to print I’m sure this wouldn’t have happened.
