Seven leads with return of Grey’s Anatomy, while My Kitchen Rules holds share

Seven led the night with the return of Grey’s Anatomy, while its new cooking show My Kitchen Rules saw a slight increase in viewers.  

The double episode return of Grey’s Anatomy was the third and fourth most watched programmes of the night with 1.2 million viewers respectively, according to preliminary overnight OzTam data in the five metropolitan markets.

Seven also had the five most watched shows, led by Today Tonight and Seven News, while the second episode of My Kitchen Rules saw a slight increase with 1.2 million viewers. This was up from its launch episode on Monday which attracted 1.1 million.

Ten’s So You Think You Can Dance, which returned on Sunday with 1.2 million viewers, last night dipped to 872,000.

Overall, in total free-to-air TV viewing, Channel Seven won the evening with a 28.9 per cent share, followed by Nine with 23 per cent and Ten with 18.2 per cent.

The official ratings period for the free-to-air networks commences on Sunday.
