Seven plans dating show

Seven is set for another reality dating show with production company Granada Media currently recruiting contestants for a project it has labelled as “The Dating Show”.

The Granada ad states:

Exciting New Dating Show For Seven

Finding ‘The One’ is harder than it seems.

We are casting for a new reality dating show for the Seven Network.

We are looking for men and women in the 20’s to 30’s who are single and looking for love.

And…  would love the chance to win a massive cash prize!!

Seven’s previous excursions into the dating pool have included a 2002-2003 Australia version of Temptation Island. In 2008, The Daily Telegraph reported that the series might return.

Meanwhile, Ten gave Taken Out, hosted by James Kerley, a go in 2008 but rapidly dropped it in mid-run after it delivered poor ratings.

Ten was also the home of dating show Perfect Match, which was hosted by Greg Evans and ran from 1984 to 1989.
