Seven rules the ratings, and takes the lead for the week
Last night’s TV ratings have a curiously neat quality to them, with Seven taking the top six slots, the ABC the next two, followed by four in a row for Nine.
The comprehensive victory for Seven was led by Seven News, with a 1.5m audience. And the strong showing of the ABC’s Spicks And Specks in the 8.30pm slot certainly hurt Ten, with House, which was on at the same time, picking up an audience of less than 850,000.
The preliminary Oztam share for the evening: Seven 33.7%; Nine 24.4%; Ten 20.6; ABC 16.8%; SBS 4.5%.
For the week, Seven has a 30% share, just ahead of Nine’s 28.8%. However, in Sydney the two networks are dead level at 28.7% each.
