Seven scores entertainment win with Anzac Day AFL game

The annual Anzac Day AFL match between Collingwood Magpies and Essendon Bombers secured Seven an entertainment win on Tuesday.

The match scored a new high for Anzac Day game attendance with 95,179 spectators, which surpassed the previous record of 94,825 set in 1995.

On free-to-air, the game aired to 691,000 metro viewers on Seven. It is followed by the game’s pre-match with 534,000 metro viewers.

Meanwhile, the network’s Farmer Wants A Wife brought in 511,000 metro viewers, followed by Lego Masters on Nine with 480,000.

Ten’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! pulled in 474,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Tuesday night was Seven News with 1.125 million metro viewers, which also topped all three key advertising demos.

Seven Network won the night with a 30.2% share, followed by Nine with 26.9%, Ten with 18.6% while ABC had 16.7%.

The top-rated primary channel overnight was Seven with a 21.7% share, and the top-rated multichannels were 7Mate and 7Two with 3.3%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 18 April, Seven News was the #1 program nationally last Tuesday with 1.457 million Total TV viewers, including 41,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%.

However, the program with the biggest uplift (up 107%) was The Good Doctor on Seven with 314,000 Total TV audience and 47,000 on national BVOD.
