Seven is TV Network of the Year

The Seven Network was this morning named as TV Network of the Year at the inaugural Encore Awards.

The trophy was collected by Seven’s Sydney sales director Adam Elliott.

Saturday saw the end of the 2010 ratings year, with Seven narrowly beating Nine in audience share.

Organised by Mumbrella’s sister title Encore, which caters for the screen industry, Seven was selected for its commitment to popular Australian drama, including Packed To The Rafters and the forthcoming Winners & Losers.

Seven beat finalists the ABC, Network Ten and The Movie Network.

Meanwhile, The Project Factory was named cross platform production conmpany of the year, Southern Star Media was TV production company of the year and Omnilab Media was film production company of the year.
