Seven wins Easter non-ratings period

It may be the off-season for the television networks, but Seven has managed to clock-up a win, taking out both weeks of the Easter non-ratings period.

Last week, Seven had a winning 20.0% audience share, which jumped slightly to 21.9% this week.

Seven has won its second week in a row

This is the fifth ratings week Seven has won, however only one of these wins occurred during the official ratings period.

Nine – which has won 12 ratings weeks, and eight out of nine in the official period – had its lowest share of the year so far, with 17.3% of the audience. It still managed, however, to place second.

The ABC once again beat Ten, which it has done for 15 of the 17 weeks so far this year. The ABC had 12.4% of the audience, while Ten had 10.5%.

The ratings remained the same when the multi-channels were added to the mix, with Seven snaring 32.4% of the weekly TV viewing audience, Nine Network securing 26.2%, the ABC landing 17.4%, and Ten coming in with 16.4%.

SBS’ primary channel had 5.1%, while the network had 7.6%.

News programs dominated the list of most-watched programs for the week, and in entertainment, various episodes of My Kitchen Rules on Seven were the most popular overall. Tuesday’s episode had 825,000, while Monday’s had 819,000.

Tonight, the official ratings season resumes, with Ten’s Bachelor in Paradise going head to head with the debut of Lego Masters on Nine. Seven will screen the premiere of House Rules at 7pm, before transitioning into the finale of My Kitchen Rules at 8pm.

The following graphic was compiled by Nine, based on OzTAM data. It excludes ABC and SBS viewing, meaning percentage numbers will not match the numbers referred to above.
