Seven wins Friday night TV thanks to Better Homes and Gardens and The Chase

Seven won Friday night television with an average overall audience share of 30%, with The Chase and Better Homes and Gardens being the two most-watched entertainment programs.

The Chase saw 516,000 metro viewers tune in while Better Homes and Gardens managed 701,000 viewers, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

Seven News at 6pm was the most-watched program of the evening securing a metro audience of 908,000.

Nationally, including both regional and metro affiliate stations, The Chase averaged 860,000, which was beaten by Better Homes and Gardens’ 1.122m.

Nine came in second for the evening with a 25% share, with Nine News at 6.30 clocking in as the channel’s most-watched program with 858,000 metro viewers.

Ten finished in third with a 18.8% share as The Living Room was its most-watched show with 449,000 metro viewers.

Ten Eyewitness News grabbed 426,000 metro viewers while The Project managed 413,000.

ABC was the fourth place holder with a 15.6% audience share.

ABC News took out the top spot for the channel as 590,000 metro viewers and 874,000 nationally tuned in.

British crime thriller Thirteen also did well for the channel as 598,000 nationally watched on.
