The Block tops the ratings for Nine

Channel Nine’s The Block: All Stars scored its best audience of the 2013 series so far, topping Sunday night’s TV ratings.

The renovation reality program had 1.399 million capital city viewers tuned in, according to preliminary OzTam ratings for the  bathroom-focused episode.

It was the number one program for the night and won all key below-50 demographics.

But Seven still won the night with a 24.9 per cent audience share thanks to strong performances by Border Security, The Force: Behind The Line and Downton Abbey, which was the second show with 1.337m tuned in.

MasterChef: The Professionals again enjoyed the absence of My Kitchen Rules on Sundays with almost 900,000 viewers, while the second week of 60 Minutes in 2013 on Nine had 1.168m viewers, but behind Seven’s Sunday Night which featured an interview between Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver and her ex-husband Derryn Hinch.

Sherlock Holmes remake Elementary shed a small number of viewers viewers for Ten with 869,000 watching, down from its debut of 899,000 last week.

Nine ran second with 21.4 per cent of the audience, Ten third on 14.5 per cent, ABC1 on 11.9 per cent and SBS One on 3.6 per cent.
