Seven wins Monday as Big Brother launches to 487K metro viewers

Big Brother on Seven launched to 487,000 metro viewers on Monday, as the program topped key advertising demo, 18-49, with the network celebrating an overall network share win.

Last year, Big Brother premiered to 664,000 metro viewers. 

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 2 May, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.619 million viewers, including 37,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 2%. The program with the biggest uplift was an episode of Lego Masters which aired to a national audience of 1.112 million viewers and had an uplift of 29%.

Meanwhile, The Chase Australia on Seven topped entertainment on Monday, with the episode airing to a metro audience of 588,000.

Next in entertainment was Lego Masters on Nine which aired to an average metro audience of 566,000 viewers, followed by Ten’s MasterChef which saw 532,000 metro viewers tune in.

Seven’s Home and Away also saw 531,000 metro viewers tune in, while an episode of Four Corner on ABC brought in 524,000 metro viewers.

Seven News on Monday was the #1 metro program, pulling in 1.048 million metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 1.007 million metro viewers, while Nine News saw 950,000 metro viewers tune in, and Nine News at 6:30 had 898,000 metro viewers.

Seven won the night, taking an overall network share of 28% over Nine’s 26.9%, while the ABC took a 19.2% share, and Ten an 18% share.

Seven also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Monday was 7TWO with a share of 3.9%.
