The Chase wins entertainment as Seven takes Monday

The Chase Australia on Seven topped entertainment on Monday, with the episode airing to a metro audience of 573,000.

Next in entertainment was The Dog House on Ten which aired to an average metro audience of 498,000 viewers, followed by ABC’s Australian Story which saw 477,000 metro viewers tune in.

Seven’s Home and Away also saw 477,000 metro viewers tune in, while a late episode of the drama series brought in 431,000 metro viewers.

Meanwhile, Seven News on Monday was the #1 metro program, pulling in 976,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 926,000, while Nine News saw 883,000 metro viewers tune in, and Nine News at 6:30 had 846,000 metro viewers.

Seven won the night, taking an overall network share of 29.8% over Nine’s 24.1%, while Ten took a 18.8% share and the ABC had 17.5%.

Seven also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Monday was 7TWO with a share of 4.2%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 4 April, the finale of Married at First Sight was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 2.357 million viewers, including 557,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 41%.
