Seven wins the ratings week despite The Voice’s success for Nine

The Voice wins for Nine earlier this week weren’t enough to see the network overcome Seven’s news and sports coverage to win the week’s TV ratings.

Despite attracting 1.01m viewers for its Sunday night premiere and being the most watched entertainment show for the week, The Voice didn’t beat Seven’s news that evening in a pattern that continued across the seven days, giving Seven a network share of 30.9% over Nine’s 27.6%.

Despite the Voice’s successes for Nine, Seven still won the metro ratings week

Ten grabbed a 17.3% share while the ABC attracted 16/6% of the audience and SBS 7.5%.

Of the main stations, Seven took a 20.6% audience share over Nine’s 19.1%. The ABC’s 11.8% took out Ten’s 11.5 while SBS took 5.2%.

In the multichannels, 7mate took the greatest share with 4.5% of the audience. Nine Go had a 3.8% share while Ten Bold attracted 3.8% of viewers. ABC Kids had a share of 2.7%.

Seven’s success for the week was the network’s fourth official TV survey win in a row, however Nine is still ahead for 2019 having won eight of the year’s ratings results over Seven’s five.

The following graphic was compiled by Nine based on OzTAM data. It excludes ABC and SBS viewing, meaning percentage numbers will not match the numbers referred to above.
