Seven wins the TV ratings week despite competition from Masterchef and Ninja Warrior

Seven has won the TV ratings week thanks to the success of its one-off special The Real Full Monty and the final episode of House Rules.

Seven finished the week with a 20.4% audience share, despite the Masterchef winner announcement on Ten topping the ratings ladder with 1.316m metro viewers and Australian Ninja Warrior’s grand final drawing in 1.086m.

Seven has won the week 

Masterchef’s winner announcement also topped the key advertising demographics including 16 to 39s and 25 to 54s.

Nine finished second for the week on 19.1% of the total people audience. Nine noted, however, that it was slightly ahead in the 25 to 54 demographic (20% compared to Seven’s 19.2%) and equal with Seven in the 16 to 39s (19% each).

Ten had 14.3% of total people for the week and 18.6% of the 25 to 54s. Ten won the week in 16 to 39s, with 21.4% of the demographic.

ABC had 11.5% of the metro viewing audience, while SBS was on 4.9%.

7mate was the most-watched multi-channel with 4.3%, helping the Seven Network to an overall network win, with 30.6% of the audience.

Nine Network – including main channel Nine and multi-channels such as 9Go and 9Life – had 27.3%. Ten Network remained in third place with 19.1%, while the network of ABC channels had 16.0% of the total metro audience. SBS Network had 7.1%.

With the addition of the multi-channels, Seven Network streaked ahead of Ten Network in the key advertising demographics.

With Masterchef, House Rules and Australian Ninja Warrior now over, the next round of the reality franchise battle between the networks will heat up this week.

Ten’s Survivor premiered last week with 716,000 metro viewers and will continue at 7:30pm on Monday, while tonight it will screen the return of Russell Coight’s All Aussie Adventures at 7:30pm.

Nine’s next iteration of The Block premieres at 7:30pm tonight and will be stripped throughout the week.

Seven tonight will screen Little Big Shots, before Dance Boss premieres on Monday.
