Seven wins Wednesday night TV with Seven News most-watched program

Seven has won Wednesday night television with Seven News/Today Tonight at 6:30pm being the most-watched program of the evening with 874,000 metro viewers.

In overall audience share, Seven managed a 19.1% share, beating Nine’s 18%, ABC’s 13.1%, Ten’s 11.4% and SBS’ 5%, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

The second-most-watched show for Seven was Seven News at 6pm with 872,000 metro viewers, followed by Home and Away which saw 606,000 metro viewers tune in.

Meanwhile, Nine’s most popular program for the evening was Nine News at 6:30, which attracted an audience of 820,000 compared to Nine News’ first half hour, which had 798,000.

A Current Affair was the third-most-watched program for the channel with 727,000 viewers.

For Ten, its most-watched show was a repeat of Bondi Rescue, which managed an audience of just 479,000 viewers.

The Project at 7pm followed Bondi Rescue in popularity for the channel with 426,000 viewers.

In a news-dominated lineup, ABC News proved most popular for ABC as 711,000 tuned in, followed by Hard Quiz’s 672,000.
