Seven’s Highway Patrol beats Ten’s Australian Survivor as The Block wins Monday night

Seven’s Highway Patrol was unable to beat Nine’s The Block, but managed to beat Ten’s Australian Survivor in Monday night’s ratings.

Nine’s The Block dominated topped the night with 1.236m metro viewers, with Highway Patrol attracting 686,000 ahead of Ten’s Australian Survivor, which managed an audience of 559,000.

The Block topped all key ad demographics. However, Seven’s Highway Patrol did not appear across any key advertising demographics while Australian Survivor placed third in the 16-39s, fourth in the 18-49s, and fifth in the 25-54s.

Nine’s This Time Next Year won the later time slot, with 803,000 metro viewers, ahead of Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention? which grabbed 693,000 metro viewers.

Seven’s UK drama Little Boy Blue plateaued at 487,000 metro viewers.

But Ten’s ‘Have You Been Paying Attention?’ beat Nine’s This Time Next Year in the demographics, placing second across the board.

Nine’s This Time Next Year was third across the 18-49s and 25-54s, but placed fourth in the 16-39s.

Seven News defeated Nine News last night, reporting 1.075m and 900,000 metro viewers respectively.

On the ABC, Australian Story captured 638,000 metro viewers, Four Corners achieved 612,000, and Media Watch had a metro audience of 511,000.

Nine won the overall average audience share at 24.3%.

Behind Nine was Seven with a share of 17.8%, followed by ABC’s 13.5%, Ten’s 12.9% and SBS’ 4.8%.
