Shed Media rebrands to Shed Connect

Financial PR agency Shed Media has rebranded to Shed Connect in an effort to reflect the trend in its business to “include all aspects of brand building and sales possibilities”.

Simrita Virk, general manager of Shed Connect, said in a statement: “Shed Connect, will continue to build on its long-established capability in traditional PR, which we believe is an integral part of any sales and marketing effort.

“But the media industry is changing rapidly. Digitalisation has provided new opportunities for clients to understand what the readership is interested in and to engage directly with them,” Virk said.

The rebranding comes after the launch of its new publication focusing on the superannuation sector, The Rub.

As the company looks to reposition itself it has also set up a separate unit to better utilise social media as a distribution platforms for clients’ messages.

Virk said: “We aim to be a PR firm that goes the extra mile and does things a bit differently from the rest. We want to ride the wave of change in the media, not get swamped by it.”
