Shelley Hammond launches One Roof Agency, with foundation client Almond Breeze

Shelley Hammond has launched her own communications consultancy, One Roof Agency.

Its founding client is Almond Breeze, with the agency taking over the PR, social, influencer engagement, sponsorships, activations, events and trade liaison from Hammond’s former employer, Daylight Agency.

The agency’s focus will be brand storytelling and media relations, backed by social media, digital marketing, activations and experiences, and sponsorships.

Hammond said the business’ strength will come from its in-house capabilities.

“We set out to bring the best skills and expertise home, under one roof,” Hammond said.

“We have our core focus areas we specialise in, plus a network of agency mates doing stellar work, so we bring those smarts together to co-create impactful solutions – effective collaboration certainly isn’t a new concept, but we really embrace it.

“I’m so encouraged by the response we’ve had to date, and look forward to 2020 and delivering meaningful, integrated work.”

Joining Hammond is Emma Catchpole as client services director. The pair most recently worked together at Daylight Agency – Hammond as director of agency operations and Catchpole as client director – and both left in October last year.

Kerrie Holien will take up the role of operations director, after working as an allocation analyst for Target Australia. Meanwhile, Ben Gawley will be leading the live experiences division as project director.

The team also consists of account executive Dannielle Murray and social media consultant Caiti Beattie.

One Roof Agency will also be partnering with marketing consultancy, Ubiquity Lab on projects where necessary.

Ubiquity Lab founder and managing director, Matt Allison, said: “Marketing is so diverse, very few agencies can do everything their clients need, let alone do them all with precision and in tandem. We’ve collaborated with Shells and the One Roof team and it’s refreshing to unify complementary skillsets and work cohesively with a partner to deliver the best client outcome.”

Almond Breeze’s creative account remains with Daylight Agency.

A spokesperson for Daylight Agency said it decided to focus its efforts on developing high-quality creative work.

“Having launched the Almond Breeze brand in Australia seven years ago and having proudly built it to become the fastest-growing in the category, we made a decision late last year to focus our expertise and resources on the high-end strategic and creative work for the brand moving forward. We remain agency of record in this regard,” they said.
