Sheryl Taylor joins Ten

Network Ten has appointed Sheryl Taylor as its new health editor.  

The announcement:

Network Ten is pleased to announce that award winning journalist Sheryl Taylor is joining TEN’s Sydney news team as Health Editor.

With a media career spanning 25 years across print, radio and TV, Sheryl Taylor is an outstanding addition to TEN’s growing news team.

Sheryl has broken numerous health and medical stories, won a myriad of awards in her profession and set up, and executive produced some Australian television’s best medical programs, notably the Logie award-winning medical reality program, RPA.

Ross Dagan, TEN’s Sydney News Director said Sheryl Taylor is without doubt one of the most respected journalists in her field. “We’re delighted to welcome Sheryl to TEN’s

already outstanding news team. She will bring decades of experience to covering the health issues that intimately affect all our viewers.

Sheryl Taylor said of her joining TEN’s news team, “I am thrilled to be back reporting on the medical and health matters that affect millions of Australians and it’s such an exciting time to be joining Ten’s expanded commitment to news and public affairs”.

Hailing from Perth and originally trained as a Registered Nurse, Sheryl’s work took her across the continent, before returning home to study journalism. She started her

reporting career at ABC Radio, filing for the prestigious current affairs programs AM, PM and The World Today, covering breaking political events and interviewing leading business and political figures, before moving into TV.

Sheryl will be based in Sydney with a roving brief to cover significant health and medical news.

She will be reporting across TEN’s news programs, with a particular focus on Sydney’s Ten News at Five and Ten Evening News at 6:30pm.
