Shopify and The Rebound Media’s business show returns to Nine for season 2

Business and entrepreneur-focused program The Rebound will return to Aussie television from this weekend, airing on Saturdays at 12:30pm on Nine.

The creation of Shopify and The Rebound Media, season two of the program will include eight episodes tackling how people and businesses alike can ‘rebound’ from the economic crisis.

Each episode will cover a different topic on pressing opportunities and challenges facing entrepreneurs today. Themes will include skills, design, storytelling, pricing, culture, growth, future of work, and crypto.

Season one’s hosts Steve Sammartino and Tommy McCubbin will be joined by two new hosts.

Shopify APAC integrated marketing lead, Bertie Ocampo, is also joining as a co-host and resident ecommerce guru, hosting ‘Burning questions with Bertie’.

The new segment will answer entrepreneurs’ questions about starting and scaling their online businesses.

Award-winning presenter, tech journo and video game critic, Rad Yeo, joins as co-host and to launch a new segment ‘Radical Thinking’ which will discuss ways in which the business, technology, and ecommerce spheres are evolving.

Shopify APAC head of marketing, Robin Marchant, said: “The pandemic has thrown many challenges to business leaders and is continuing to disrupt the way we work, shop, and live.

“The pandemic has also led to many businesses exploring new ways of operating and accelerating their digital transformation plans, while simultaneously generating a boost in entrepreneurs starting their own business and riding the ecommerce wave.”

Ocampo added: “We get a lot of questions from customers, partners, and budding entrepreneurs at Shopify about how to start something from scratch, how to prepare for sales seasons, how to balance a side hustle among a full-time job, and more.”

Season one aired across six episodes on Nine in November 2020.
