Shopper promotes internally to expand C-suite

Retail out-of-home OOH business Shopper has strengthened its executive team with the promotion of Jamie Hollebone to the newly created role of chief revenue officer and Karissa Fletcher to chief marketing officer, both effective immediately.

Hollebone first joined the OOH provider in 2018 as head of revenue, while Fletcher came on board as head of marketing in 2020.

Shopper CEO Ed Couche said: “Shopper has been at the forefront of growth in out-of-home, achieving consistent results and firmly staking the claim that retail OOH connects with audiences when they are in a purchasing mindset. This leadership change will bring a razor-sharp focus on commercial outcomes and the continued evolution of the Shopper business to achieve our ambitious aspirations by creating a C-suite.

“Jamie and Karissa will join Paul Rago our Chief Financial Officer and myself to deliver additional strength to the new C-suite structure that will leverage our collective deep experience and commitment to Shopper’s success, and our drive to remain a people-first OOH media business.”

Hollebone has spent two decades of his career in media roles, and has developed trusted partnerships with major agency consortiums. As the lead for Shopper’s sales and trading function, he developed a cohesive programmatic OOH offering that could deliver greater flexibility through new trading strategies that enhanced service for agencies and brands.

“At Shopper, we believe in aiming high and we are committed to delivering outstanding results for our advertisers and partners. This exciting role presents a unique opportunity to build on our success, navigate change and deliver better business outcomes for our clients and OOH overall,” said Hollebone.

Fletcher has more than 20 years of marketing experience, including roles at IAG as senior manager of brand strategy, product and customer research, and at Westpac as head of brand strategy. At Shopper she has been at the forefront of the OOH provider’s marketing evolution and has led its recent rebrand.

“Shopper is a people-first business, and our upbeat and can-do culture is driven from the top. Our marketing and insights approach is based on creativity and innovation, ensuring everything we do results in win-win success for our clients and partners. I’m thrilled to be leading our team delivering excellence across all aspects of the business,” said Fletcher.

“The promotion of Jamie and Karissa in the new C-suite structure will bolster the business through the broadening of our leadership structure and capabilities. It will ensure we continue to drive Shopper’s strategic leadership in the retail OOH category,” added Couche.
