Shutterstock’s global CMO Lou Weiss to speak at Mumbrella’s B2B Marketing Summit

Lou Weiss, the global chief marketing officer of American stock photography, footage, music, and editing provider, Shutterstock, will take the stage at Mumbrella’s B2B Marketing Summit in Sydney on September 5.

Weiss, who was behind the brand’s viral Fyre Festival promo spoof, will reveal how brands can use culturally relevant moments and news to create a viral marketing campaign that will work for B2B.

Weiss will present a session titled: ‘How B2B marketing can leverage viral marketing techniques and breaking news’

Shutterstock’s marketing boss will fly in from New York City to discuss B2B marketing strategies, leveraging emotional connections and how to stand out from your competitors.

Weiss is the second international speaker to join the program alongside IBM Watson’s marketing evangelist and program director based in California, Loren McDonald.

Lund, Williams, Bhandarkar and Low will present on the ‘The influencer game: Should B2B be playing?’ panel

Plus, Tribe’s founder, Jules Lund; CEO and founder at The Right Fit, Taryn Williams; Hubspot’s manager of customer success, Varun Bhandarkar; and Green Hat’s head of content and social media, Shawn Low, will present on a panel tackling the relevance of influencers in the B2B sector.

The quartet will analyse influencers in the B2B sector, their relevance, best practice case studies and how it differs from B2C influencer marketing.

Mumbrella’s B2B Marketing Summit will also address how B2B brands can unlock real commercial value in a session fronted by Future Brand’s APAC CEO, Richard Curtis.

Curtis, who has been at the helm of IPG’s Future Brand for five years, will deliver a session on branding, why it is essential to driving competitive advantage, winning customers and engaging employees.

Weiss, Curtis, Lund, Williams, Bhandarkar and Low join speakers already announced in the lineup including CHE Proximity’s MD, David Halter; Xero’s communications director, Marina Holmes, and the aforementioned global keynote, McDonald.
