Sir John Hegarty confirmed to visit Australia for creativity course

Advertising great Sir John Hegarty is coming to Australia for his ‘The Business of Creativity’ course.

The announcement:

The world’s most valuable companies are the most creative.

In the last decade, the list of top ten most valuable businesses has changed irrevocably. In 2012, brands like Shell, IBM, Chevron and ExxonMobil dominated the list. Today, those names have vanished, and been replaced by the likes of Tesla, Tencent, Alphabet and Amazon. Only Apple and Microsoft – two constant innovators – have endured.

Research shows that organsiations that prize creativity fare better compared with those that fail to. A study by McKinsey showed that companies that engaged with creativity were 16% more innovative, while 70% had above-average total return to shareholders.

But while creativity is a key driver of business growth, resources that show individuals how to harness their creative abilities are lacking. The Business of Creativity is a course designed to address this gap. Devised by advertising luminary Sir John Hegarty, the programme helps people unlock their latent creativity. In order to build better teams, stronger companies and to forge more successful lives.

In February 2025, Sir John and his team will deliver a string of events in Australia. Firstly, in Sydney on Monday 24th February. And then in Melbourne on Wednesday 26th February. The events will feature a live address from Sir John on the present and future state of creativity – plus appearances from a raft of special guests.

Attendees will consist of participants in the forthcoming Autumn Cohort of The Business of Creativity course. Tickets for this are on sale now, and the first module launches on 21st October 2024. Individual tickets cost AU$2,900 (group pricings are available on request).

On the evening of each event The Business of Creativity team will host an exclusive dinner for senior leadership teams. Details to come.
