Independent customer experience agency, Six Black Pens, has hired Joe Mayock as head of creative.

Joe Mayock spent nearly ten years with his own creative agency

Mayock said of his appointment: “Six Black Pen’s trajectory is testament not only to the unique offering, but the switched-on people making it happen. They’re a brilliant bunch and I’m excited to get amongst it.”

Six Black Pens co-founder and director, Oli Vickery, said in a statement: “Joe’s rare combination of expertise across design, advertising, experiential and content, as well as long stints as creative director at agencies like Momentum and his own agency One Partners, make him a valuable asset to our team.”

Earlier this year, Six Black Pens won the creative account for digital property settlement agency, PEXA.

In October the agency launched a campaign for job search platform, Seek, which took a humorous look at what happens when job descriptions and applicants just don’t match up.
