The announcement:

Melbourne based full-service digital marketing agency Smith Brothers Media (SBM) has announced the completion of a merger with Follow, a creative digital agency in Brisbane.

The merger commenced on 11th October this year, and is now complete with an announcement to clients, suppliers and the market happening today. A driving force behind the merger was the similarity in approach between the two agencies, with Follow possessing a similar ‘people-first’ culture to SBM, as well as a strong focus on seeing their clients succeed.

Follow General Manager Carl Watney will stay on, and the agency will keep its name and identity, but with the additional title of ‘a Smith Brothers Media company’.

“We’re excited about the future for Follow as part of the SBM family,” said Carl Watney. “This opens up so many more opportunities for our clients, now that we can offer them fully integrated digital marketing services.”

Follow works with a number of non-profit organisations, including The Children’s Charity, Variety, Puppy Champions, The Wellness Bus and Legacy Australia. The agency’s broad services involve branding, digital products, marketing campaigns, website and mobile app design, UX design, website and eCommerce development, copywriting and marketing.

“The SBM and Follow teams will have a very close working relationship,” said James Smith, CEO, Smith Brothers Media. “SBM clients will have access to Follow’s awesome design and web services, and Follow clients will get the full benefit of SBM’s marketing, video and developer services. It’s not just an exciting merger for our own companies, but for all of our clients and followers as well.”

SBM delivers a wide suite of digital services to clients such as Disney, Bosch and Garden Express.
