
Snoop lookalike causing chaos in Melbourne

A Snoop Dogg lookalike has been fooling Melbourne fans
A Snoop Dogg doppelgänger has been stirring up crowds in Melbourne by pretending he is the rap superstar, who is currently in the city ahead of his AFL Grand Final appearance on the weekend.
The lookalike has been cruising around the city in a not-so-subtle vehicle, dropping into bars unannounced, shouting drinks to shocked (possibly short-sighted) patrons, and posing for copious amounts of selfies.
Eric Finch is Snoop’s “official doppelgänger”, a singular job that has seen him appear as the rapper’s body double in Super Bowl commercials for Corona and Pepsi, high profile video clips, and in campaigns for G-Star Raw, Bic Lighter, Klarna, and 19 Crimes.
Finch’s Melbourne mischief is part of a guerrilla campaign for 19 Crimes, the Snoop-endorsed wine brand.
“Oh, it was dope,” Finch confirmed to Mumbrella this morning. “We’ve been driving around in a low rider. We went to a liquor store where we purchased some 19 Crimes, with a picture of Snoop on it.”
He said during this transaction he “presented as he should”, fooling the BWS staffers into thinking he was stocking up on his own branded wine.

“And then we went to a little pub, and I poured four glasses of wine for some of the patrons. Then we did some shots [presumably photos, not shots of liquor] and I took time to actually acknowledge the younger generation: children, parents with children.”
The word spread quickly. “Then we went to get some shots by a river, which brought a crowd of people as well. The walk around is not as easy, because it definitely draws a big crowd,” he explains – although this is the point.
‘Snoop’ headed to the Corner Hotel, in Richmond, where he hosted a live Tiktok show. It was at this point that the crowd slowly realised this might not be Snoop.
Still, they stuck around for the live show, which Finch explains was streamed to his 3.4 million followers. Looking like Snoop is good business, it seems.
Finch is yet to see any photos of himself from the stunt, but he knows they’re out there.
“People have been calling me earlier this morning from L.A. to let me know that they see me. And I haven’t seen anything yet.”
Having been a part of numerous 19 Crimes campaigns before, Finch declared this one the best yet.
“It’s a brilliant idea and the concept is amazingly thought out. And the way they’ve done it was just like, it’s genius.”
