Award-winning creative communications agency Society has added the online sustainability retail initiative, Green Friday, to its client roster, while also making two new appointments.

Wrapping up a stellar quarter, Green Friday joins Society’s roster in a year which has seen a focus on several socially conscious organisations, including promoting the inaugural research from women’s mental health advocates Liptember Foundation and the fundraising Liptember campaign; and the announcement of Unilever Australia’s B Corp certification.

Green Friday aims to allow Australian consumers to shop with consideration and mindfulness and will feature Australian retailers and brands who have offers within the sustainable, re-commerce or the circular economy space.

Co-founder and managing director of Green Friday Peter Krideras said, “We’re excited to be working with the team at Society to help us raise awareness about a more sustainable online shopping experience for Australian consumers and were impressed by Society’s credentials in the sustainability space.”

“We wanted to partner with Green Friday as we share a common ethos in working with brands that are having a positive impact on society. We’re excited about supporting the work they’re doing to bring focus to sustainability and help Australian consumers make better choices when they shop, ” said Sarah Thomas, Society academy director ANZ & group director SA/NT/WA.

Society has also added to its team in Adelaide with the appointment Jason Kemp, and welcomes Emma Norris in Brisbane.

Jason joins Society from his most recent role as social and digital media executive at kwpx and was previously a content creator with the Adelaide-based lifestyle publication Glam Adelaide.

“Jason is an experienced content creator and digital marketer and we’re thrilled to have him join our team, continued Sarah Thomas.

Society also welcomes Emma Norris who will be based in Brisbane. Emma has more than 15 years of PR and marketing experience, working previously as Account Director at BCW Australia and New Zealand.

Society’s CEO, Dena Vassallo said of the appointment; “Emma has a wealth of knowledge and experience to tap into across so many industries, and her ability to spark conversations and build brand connections with audiences of all types is recognised locally and nationally, so it’s wonderful to have her supporting our team from Queensland.”
