Sonia Kruger a ‘woman with drive’ teams up with Porsche

Sonia Kruger and her PorscheTelevision presenter Sonia Kruger has signed on as a brand ambassador for the Porsche Cars Australia website Woman with Drive which will see her write and tweet content about the luxury car.

As well as having a “beautiful Porsche to drive”, Kruger will contribute at least one article per month to the website and have a say in planning the editorial calendar.

The Channel Nine presenter of Mornings and reality series Big Brother, which returns on July 29, will also share content on social media platforms. She has more than 53,000 followers on Twitter.

Melbourne PR agency Flaunt Marketing devised the concept for Woman with Drive. The site launched in November and was built by Portable Studios with design by Things Project.

Described as an online magazine, the site includes features about lifestyle, travel, fashion and beauty.

Jane Harris, media director at Flaunt, said: “The content is provided in a way that is unbiased providing inspiration and suggestions that readers can act on straight away; the reader doesn’t feel as though they have been pitched to. “The audience is aware Porsche drives the content but its cars take a backseat as articles focus on fashion, beauty, design, health and wellbeing, history and news.”

Kruger said she is as excited about writing, contributing to, and sharing content from the website as she is about driving a Porsche.

“I am an outright fan of the online magazine’s content,” she said. “It’s compelling, concise, entertaining and thought provoking. It’s a dynamic platform for women to learn everything from headline making issues to great weekend escapes and the best in fashion and beauty tips.”

Paul Ellis, public relations manager for Porsche Cars Australia, said Kruger, who is also known for her role in 1992 film Strictly Ballroom and as a presenter on Seven’s Dancing with the Stars, reflects the core values of the brand. “She is a leader and she has the unique ability to appeal to a wide demographic. Simply put – Sonia is a woman with drive,” he said.
