Southern Cross Austereo continues partnership with Easter Show

Southern Cross Austereo will continue its partnership with the upcoming Sydney Royal Easter Show.

The announcement:

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) is proud to continue its longstanding partnership with the Sydney Royal Easter Show (RES) as it presents the iconic event in 2012.

The exclusive agreement sees 2Day FM and Triple M radio stations deliver exciting plans to engage Australia’s biggest city with one of its favourite entertainment events this Easter.

Ticket giveaways will take place across 2Day FM and Triple M radio stations with the networks the only metro FM stations to obtain promotional tickets to the RES which takes place 5-18 April in Sydney.

Live outdoor broadcasts with popular talent from both stations are set to be part of the event and SCA will be upping the entertainment factor by helping to secure music acts for the event’s upgraded main arena which will soon accommodate 25,000 people.

Triple M is also set to bring back the popular Dr Dan Showbag which was a must have for RES-goers throughout the 80’s and 90’s.

Southern Cross Austereo Director of Metro Radio, Guy Dobson said, “This is a great opportunity to engage our sister stations on a unified project that is uniquely Sydney.  With the power of the two networks combined we are proud to support the Sydney Royal Easter Show and look forward to a cracking event.”

Michael Collins, Sydney Royal Easter Show General Manager said, “Southern Cross Austereo have been a valuable partner of the Show over the years and we look forward to enhancing our relationship in 2012, helping bring the news and excitement of Australia’s largest annual event to the people of Sydney.”

The 2012 Royal Easter Show will have a massive presence across The Kyle & Jackie O Show, The Grill Team plus workdays and weekends on 104.1 2Day FM and 104.9 Triple M with the networks committed to making the event Sydney’s best Easter on record.
