ABC and nurses target proposed cuts in two special interest election campaigns

MidwivesThe Friends of the ABC and the Australian Nursing & Midwives Federation have joined the growing number of special interest group campaigns aiming to influence voters in the lead up to the election.

Friends of the ABC is using the campaign to highlight cuts to the ABC as a threat to free speech and independent news coverage by targeting more than 30 marginal seats.

The ad, starring former Full Frontal comedian Peter Moon, looks to the future of the broadcaster under the current government regime where an older son and mother are watching Kerry O’Brien and Leigh Sales taking part in a reality show where O’Brien is forced to eat a lizard.
