Spinach replaces Durex with Ansell Condoms

Spinach Advertising, which handled the Durex account for almost a decade until last year, has been awarded advertising duties for rival condom maker Ansell Healthcare.

The STW Group-owned Melbourne agency lost the Durex business to Euro RSCG in November 2010 after a global realignment – Durex owner SSL International was acquired by Euro client Reckitt Benckiser.

Spinach will work across Ansell’s sexual health and wellbeing brands, with a focus on brand strategy and creative campaign development.

Ansell’s associate director, sales and marketing, ANZ, Nicole Adey said: “With such a trusted and respected reputation, combined with innovations that are truly re-shaping the category, we are really pleased to be partnering with passionate teams like Spinach who share our ambitions.”
