Sports agency appoints local MD

Global consultancy Futures Sport + Entertainment has appointed the former commercial director of Port Adelaide FC, Chris Nunn, to lead the local business

Futures Sport + Entertainment, a global consultancy that specializes in data analytics and brand optimisation within the world of sports and entertainment, is pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Nunn as Managing Director, Australia.

Chris will lead the agency’s business development initiatives in the Australian market alongside Kevin Alavy, Futures Global Managing Director.

“Futures is thrilled to have Chris join our rapidly evolving team. His research and consumer insights will be a perfect complement to our market-leading capabilities in analytics,” said Alavy. “We have known Chris for several years and in that time we have always admired his vigour and drive in devising customized commercial solutions.”

Chris’ appointment comes on the back of Futures’ swift expansion across Australia. Since launching its Sydney office in 2012 and opening its Melbourne office in September of last year, Futures has provided actionable insights for several Australian sports entities including Tennis Australia, Cricket Australia, the Victoria Racing Club, Football Federation of Australia and Netball Australia.

Prior to joining Futures, Chris worked as Port Adelaide FC’s Commercial GM and before that, he was Commercial Partnerships Manager at Cricket Australia.

“During my time at Cricket Australia, we became Futures’ very first client in the market. Since then, I have followed their impressive growth across Australia very closely,” said Nunn. “I jumped at the opportunity to join the team and I am looking forward to working with each of our current partners and bringing even more into the Futures stable.”
