Sportswear brand LSKD sets up shop in Grand Central Toowoomba

Sportswear brand LSKD is opening a store at Grand Central Toowoomba, marking its 12th store overall.

The announcement:

Australian-owned and operated sportswear brand LSKD is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its 12th retail store at Grand Central Toowoomba on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024. This new store marks another significant milestone in LSKD’s ongoing expansion, following the successful launch of their flagship store at Queensland’s Pacific Fair on May 25th, 2024.

Founder and CEO Jason Daniel, who has deep personal ties to Toowoomba through his motocross racing days, expressed his excitement about the opening. “We are so excited to open LSKD in Grand Central Toowoomba. I grew up racing motocross at Echo Valley and it’s such an amazing community. To be able to localise with the fitness community here and inspire through our mission of 1% better every day is something we are very passionate about.”

The Grand Central store, spanning an impressive 170sqm, will share design similarities with the recently opened Sunshine Plaza store while offering unique features tailored to the Garden City. The community can look forward to exclusive products, core styles, and accessories across men’s, women’s, and unisex categories. Additionally, the store will feature a ‘local community board’ highlighting local LSKD athletes and offer exclusive Toowoomba T-shirts and hoodies, available only on opening day.

To celebrate the opening, LSKD Grand Central will open its doors early, anticipating a large turnout from their community eager to enter the store. The store will open at 8:30am, and the first 600 customers will have the opportunity to swap their used tights or shorts for a new pair from LSKD. This initiative is part of LSKD’s collaboration with Upparel, ensuring all donated items are responsibly recycled or reused.

Adding to the excitement, LSKD’s chief retail officer Alex Shaughnessy shared her enthusiasm: “We’re excited to open in Toowoomba and continue to meet the community. We’ve done a few events and gone to many classes here over the last few weeks, and it’s been such a fun and welcoming community. We’re so excited to keep building here.”

Since transitioning to LSKD in 2018, the brand has stayed true to its mission of inspiring people to be 1% better every day. “It’s cool and very surreal to think how far we have come as a brand. We just hope that we can help inspire people to be that 1% better every day in all aspects,” Daniel said.

With a mission to inspire people to be 1% better every day and driven by a commitment to fostering community, the Grand Central store will serve as a hub where LSKD’s mission and culture are shared and celebrated with their community every step of the way.
