Spotify appoints OMD’s Dan Robins as head of programmatic and data
Music streaming service Spotify has bolstered its senior sales teams with the appointment of Dan Robins and Collene Wright.
Robins has been hired as Spotify’s head of programatic and data, leaving his previous role as head of interactive digital at OMD Australia.
Prior to being promoted to head of interactive digital at OMD in April 2015, Robins was the head of performance, where he helped lead the creation and development of Telstra’s dedicated programmatic trading desk.
Robins also spent time working at media agency Carat.
Spotify has also appointed Collene Wright as Melbourne sales director – the first sales hire for the music streaming company in Melbourne. Collene joins from Adshel where she has been since August 2013 – most recently as the Victorian state sales manager.
Andrea Ingham, head of sales for Spotify Australia and New Zealand, said: “Australia is one of the top three programmatic audio revenue markets for Spotify globally. The Australian market has always been incredibly receptive to audio, and programmatic audio (our newest offering) is no different; there’s a huge opportunity for growth.
“This year marks five years for Spotify in the Australian market; we have continued to experience solid growth with no signs of slowing down and are thrilled to have talent of this calibre join the team,” she said in a statement.
Both Robins and Wright are set to start in early May and will report to Ingham.
