Sputnik announces new MD

Former Nike European marketing director Nick Lewis has been appointed as the new MD of Sputnik Agency.

Sputnik Agency today announced that Nick Lewis has started in the position of National Managing Director, replacing Steve O’Farrell who departed the agency at the end of May.

Nick said “Sputnik is a great brand and I’m excited by the opportunity to partner with our clients and some of the best digital people in the country in driving forward its future growth. We exist in an exciting space with tremendous opportunities for ourselves and our clients as they strive to grow through the strength of their brands and the connections they make with their customers”.

Nick joins the agency after more than a decade at Nike where he held roles including European Marketing Director and later as Global Brand Initiatives Director and North American Brand Director. Prior to joining Nike, Nick spent time at Clemenger BBDO and Publicis Mojo in Melbourne.

Lewis started with the agency back in July. In addition to working directly with clients he is expected to also play a key role in continuing to forge the agency’s Sydney office growth.

The agency’s client list includes Schweppes, Google, Vinnie’s, Sanitarium, Betstar and the government’s Export Finance and Insurance Corporation.
