Srishti Narayan appointed Tourism Fiji CMO as Emma Campbell departs

Tourism Fiji’s head of global marketing Srishti Narayan is set to replace Emma Campbell in the role of chief marketing officer.

The organisation announced the reshuffle in a post made on its LinkedIn page this afternoon, thanking Campbell for her contributions, particularly throughout the Covid-19 period.

Campbell had been with the business for four years, spending over 18 months in the CMO role, overseeing the appointment of Havas Village Sydney to handle its global creative, CX/digital and media accounts in June last year.

Narayan first joined Tourism Fiji as head of global marketing in August, having previously held marketing roles at Stuff, Bank of New Zealand and ANZ amongst others.

She is set to fly into Australia in August to speak at Mumbrella’s Travel Marketing Summit about the company’s strategy for recovery post-COVID and what it aims to achieve in the future.

On LinkedIn, Toruism Fiji wrote that Srishti had been selected following a “competitive selection process”.

The post continued: “A huge shout out and lolomas to Emma, whose contribution to Tourism Fiji has been significant, particularly during the organisation’s most challenging period through Covid-19. Her leadership and hard work have been instrumental in strengthening our marketing strategy. We wish Emma all the best in her future endeavours, and know that she will bring the same level of excellence and passion to her next chapter.”

Campbell told Mumbrella that she knew it was time for her to “move on to another adventure” and that she was “thrilled” that Narayan was ready to step up into the CMO role. Campbell will remain at Tourism Fiji for a further four weeks as she undergoes a handover process with Narayan, and hinted that she would be able to share more about her next role in the coming weeks.

Of her appointment, Narayan commented:

“Having been in born Fiji, I’ve been an avid supporter my whole life, so to be able to use my professional skills in a way that is so meaningful to me is an incredible opportunity. I’ve watched Tourism Fiji, and our powerhouse marketing crew led by the brilliant Emma, go from strength to strength over the last few years. It’s an enormous privilege to be part of such a talented group of people, and I’m looking forward to working with the Tourism Fiji team in my new capacity to take our paradise islands to the world.”
