Stephanie Brantz joins ABC TV Sport

ABC TV Sport has appointed former Nine and SBS sports presenter Stephanie Brantz to host its sporting events over the coming months.    

The announcment:

Stephanie Brantz, former Nine and SBS network sports presenter, has joined ABC TV Sport.

Stephanie will host a world-class season of sporting events over the summer months.

A self-confessed “sports nut”, Stephanie’s versatility will be showcased as she presents a wide array of exhilarating sporting events including:

•W League (Women’s National Football (soccer) League)

•Women’s Cricket (current world champions the ‘Southern Stars’ take on fierce rivals England in a thrilling Twenty 20 tournament)

•Women’s Australian Open Golf (featuring the world’s best female golfers including Karrie Webb and Katherine Hull)

•WNBL (Women’s National Basketball League)

ABC TV Head of Sports and Events, Justin Holdforth, says Stephanie is Australia’s premier female television sports presenter.

“Stephanie brings a passion and depth of knowledge across a wide range sports.

She has an authority and screen presence that demands your attention. She’s a very welcome addition to the ABC TV Sport team.”

Stephanie presented sport on National Nine News, Nightline and Sunday Show and prior to that hosted the FIFA World Cup highlights show and contributed to On the Ball for SBS.

She has interviewed a variety of athletes and personalities including Harry Kewell, Steve Waugh, Ian Thorpe and John Eales and has covered The Ashes, FIFA World Cup, Ironman Series and The National Basketball League.
